The regional chapter of Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL), based in the Slippery Rock area and congressional district 3, will meet this week, Wednesday, January 17 at 6:00 PM at the Robert A Macoskey Center for Sustainable Systems Education and Research on Slippery Rock University’s campus (247 Harmony Road).A detailed agenda for the event appears here: 20180117_MonthlyMeeting Agenda
The agenda lists items that are suggested for action each month by the national organization, as well as those specific to the local chapter. Even if you can’t attend the meeting, the agenda includes links to the items, as well as to background information related to the work of CCL. A monthly informational video, and other links can be viewed prior to attending the meeting or at any time.
Pizza and beverages (water, iced tea and soft drinks) will be ordered, so attendees are asked to bring a few dollars to share the expense, if possible. Come at any point during the meeting time that your schedule and interests allow.
Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a “non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots advocacy organization focused on national policies to address climate change.” Taking a respectful approach to climate education and building on shared values within communities, CCL works toward “the adoption of fair, effective and sustainable climate change solutions. All who are interested are invited to attend this meeting to learn more about these the organization, as well as possibilities for action within congressional district #3.
