Purchasing from local growers and artisans supports your neighbors and helps build a strong regional economy! Slippery Rock Farmers Market will have several vendors at Light Up Night in the borough this coming Saturday, November 23, from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. There will be an indoor, Pop-Up Holiday Market, which will be held at Ginger Hill Unitarian Universalist Congregation’s building. (That’s the narrow, yellow building in the alley that connects Main Street and the upper edge of the big public parking lot.)
There, at least four market vendors will feature festive foods and handmade goods for celebrating and gifting:
• Awesome Acres, will be on hand with their homemade jams and jellies, many in unique and “spirited” flavors
• Button Traveler will offer artistically designed buttons and items to help you live a more earth-friendly life, including many made from repurposed or recycled materials.
• David Melesky, local author, will have his books for sale, including his Wumpkey series of “funny mysteries” http://dmmbooks.com/
• Youngs’ Mercantile Co., will have soaps, spa products, and other body care and gift items.
