“Speaking of Climate Change”…at Jennings

Climate change—it is an issue that can be complex, overwhelming, alarming, and sometimes divisive, perhaps causing us to shy away from talking about it or taking action. We invite you to increase your own understanding of climate change science, develop your skills in sorting through the myriad of messages you hear, and build your confidence in discussing this issue with others. This program will include brief presentations by experienced panelists and will acquaint you with opportunities for further learning and action. Panelists will include Dr. Julie Snow and Dr. Shawn Davis of Slippery Rock University, who will provide an overview of key concepts and effective ways of communicating messages about earth’s changing climate. Representatives of 350 Pittsburgh and Citizens Climate Lobby also will be on hand to provide information and answer questions. Registration is not required for this free, public program.
