The next meeting of a Slippery Rock regional chapter of Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) will be held Wednesday, October 11 at the Robert Macoskey Center for Sustainable Systems Education and Research on Slippery Rock University’s campus (247 Harmony Road, Slippery Rock, PA). The meeting agenda includes an informational video, a”laser talk” about CCL’s Carbon Fee and Dividend policy proposal, discussion related to organizing and building the chapter, and more. Pizza and beverages (water, iced tea and soft drinks) will be ordered, so attendees are asked to bring a few dollars to chip in for the expense, if possible.
Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a “non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots advocacy organization focused on national policies to address climate change.” Taking a respectful approach to climate education and building on shared values within communities, CCL works toward “the adoption of fair, effective and sustainable climate change solutions. All who are interested are invited to attend this meeting to learn more about these efforts, as well as possibilities for efforts within congressional district #3.
