Our next meeting will be at 7pm this Friday September 30 at The Ginger Hill UUC – 174 South Main Street in Slippery Rock. Elaine Korcuska will be sharing information about Slow Foods Slippery Rock.
On October 8, The Slippery Rock Community Farmers’ Market will be holding the 1st annual Harvest Picnic from dusk til dawn. Todd has offered the opportunity for SSR to set up an info booth at the event. It’s free and fun for all ages. There will be a potluck lunch, live music and kids activities.
Also, there are some funds leftover from our Marcellus Shale Symposium in April. Ted Kneupper has info on that and we will have to discuss whether we should open a bank account and who would be in charge of that an what we can use those funds for.
At this meeting, we will plan out the meetings for the rest of the year and brainstorm ideas as to what speakers and information we can present at future meetings. We will also discuss future organization of SSR. Any input would be great.
Hope to see you all on Friday!
