Sustainable Slippery Rock and SRU’s Sustainable Enterprise Accelerator will co-sponsor a presentation by the LowCarbon Crossings (LCC) team as they pass through the area this weekend on their ride from Oregon to Washington, DC. The LCC Team aims to increase “understanding of climate issues, inspire action towards climate solutions, promote cycling as a healthy, carbon-neutral way to see the world, and engage with people dedicated to making a difference.”
The presentation by cyclists Mindy Ahler and Ryan Hall is scheduled for this coming Saturday, November 5, 7:00 – 8:30 PM at the Sustainable Enterprise Accelerator at 165 Elm Street. Students, faculty and community members are welcome to attend to meet the team, and hear about their efforts and their journey. Representatives of Citizens Climate Lobby also will be on hand to talk about proposed solutions and action related to climate change issues.
